Communication Specialist

General Purpose

Full-time Communication Specialist working with and reporting to the Communications Manager.   This position coordinates marketing goals and assists in communicating or marketing services and products internally and externally.  Full-time hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. -2:30 p.m.  The position is based at Morgan White Group, 500 Steed Road, Ridgeland, MS  39157

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interact with Managers or Project Leaders or Management within the organization to understand or determine communication or marketing needs for each department.
  • Research and develop projects and programs with the Communications Manager.
  • Proof or edit documents including layouts for brochures, website or applications.
  • Coordinate website changes with outside agency.
  • Assist in producing internal newsletters and /or podcasts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Manger.

Education and Experience:

Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or English.  Minimum of one year experience in a support marketing or communication position.  Ability to work independently or with a team.  Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects while completing deadlines.  Strong written/verbal communication.  Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Publisher.

Customer Service Specialist

Department: MWG Administrators

General Purpose

Full-time position for Customer Service Specialist who assists group or individual clients or providers with questions regarding insurance or claims. The position is based at Morgan White Group, 500 Steed Road, Ridgeland, MS 39157.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deal directly with customer either by telephone, electronically or face to face.
  • Handles and resolves customer complaints promptly
  • Obtains and evaluates all relevant information to handle inquiries and transactions.
  • Process orders, forms, applications, and requests.
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Record details of inquiries, comments and complaints.
  • Record details of actions taken and manage customers’ accounts.

Education and Experience

High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Call center and claims experience preferred. Excellent communication and people skills. Knowledge of customer service principles and practices to analyze and solve problems. Computer and data entry skills.

Product Specialist

Department: MWG Broker Services

General Purpose

The Product Specialist combines sales, marketing and technical skills to design, promote and sell MWG Broker Services products.  The position is based at Morgan White Group, 500 Steed Road, Ridgeland, MS  39157.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and recruit Brokers/General Agents primarily by phone to increase sales
  • Cold calling is a requirement
  • Communicate with existing customers for new sales and retain current business
  • Ability to relate positively, favorably, cooperatively with others
  • Generate quotes for new groups
  • Generating renewal alternates on existing groups
  • Meet minimum sales requirement set by management
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

Minimum High school diploma-required.  Knowledge of marketing or insurance concepts, practices and procedures.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.   Health and Life insurance license preferred, but not required.

Account Services Representative

Department: MWG Employer Services

General Purpose

Provide direct support to the sales and service efforts of MWG Benefits, its Agents and Clients.    The position is based at Morgan White Group, 500 Steed Road, Ridgeland, MS 39157.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides direct support to Outside Sales Agents and their clients.
  • Maintains a Customer Resource Management System.
  • Administers eligibility between clients and carriers.
  • Provides client service via phone, fax, email and web-based systems.
  • Track service issues with carriers. 

Education and Experience

Minimum –High School diploma; prefer two (2) years of experience in insurance or benefit support area.  Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.  .

Systems Analyst

Full-time position with Morgan White Group. This position provides system-level support of multi-user applications and software tools/utilities including the installation, configuration, maintenance and support of these system. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems.
  • Windows development skills using Microsoft Visual Studio, MicrosoftTeam Foundation, Windows Forms, business objects technologies and C# are required.
  • Develop support workflows and processes as necessitated by the team.
  • Database development skills using Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SQL Management Studio are required.
  • Use of systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications.
  • Design, develop, document, analyze, create, test and/or modify computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based an`d related to user or system design specifications.
  • Effective written and verbal communication with supervisors, content providers, IT personnel, and team developers.

Qualifications

Web Application Developer

  • Experience in server-side application development (C#, MVC, LINQ & Entity Framework)
  • Proficient in client-side technologies (JavaScript, jQuery, Css, Knockout / Angular)

  • Understanding of SOAP and REST web services
