Department: AmFirst Specialty

General Purpose

This position reviews, evaluates, and markets individual or commercial property insurance applications or documents for AmFirst Specialty Insurance Company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Examines and evaluates documents such as application forms, inspection reports, product brochures, financial reports, or other data to determine the degree of risk, underwriting, and market selection.
  • Writes to field representatives or others to obtain information, quotes rates, or explain company underwriting policies.
  • Receives applications, review, underwrite, rate, and provide quotes to agent. Provides service and communication with agents.
  • Markets new and renewal business and prepares marketing submissions.
  • Assists sales and support staff in resolving problems and questions.
  • Evaluates possibility of losses.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager.
  • Assists in reinsurance contract negotiations.
  • Works with State Insurance Departments regarding regulatory filings.

Education and Experience

Associate or bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must be proficient in MS Office. Minimum of 2 years’ experience underwriting property insurance is required.

Home or mobile home underwriting is preferred. Property & Casualty license is required.

Broker Services Coordinator

Department: MWG Broker Services

General Purpose

Broker Services Coordinator is full-time. This position performs a variety of administrative and customer service functions for the MWG Broker Services team. Hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. The position is based at Morgan White Group, 500 Steed Road, Ridgeland, MS.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Product Specialist with various tasks
  • Provides support for potential or existing customers over the phone or email
  • Generate quotes for new groups
  • Generate renewal alternatives for existing groups
  • Interact with brokers and agents on any issues and work to resolve
  • Answer overflow calls for Product Specialists
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

High school diploma. Must be proficient in MS Office. Insurance sales or support background preferred. Insurance license is not required.

Eligibility Specialist

Department: MWG Administrators

General Purpose

Eligibility Specialist is full-time and primarily data entry. This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting initiatives relative to the eligibility of the individual or group policyholders. Hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. The position is based at Morgan White Group, 500 Steed Road, Ridgeland, MS.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates electronic uploads, spreadsheets or individual entries of new individual or group policies to ensure accuracy.
  • Reviews reports, records or applications for accuracy and content.
  • Reviews eligibility before finalizing information to carriers.
  • Work with programming and vendors to review benefit feeds and files to audit.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma. Knowledge of customer service principles with ability to use phone and computer software.

Systems Analyst

Full-time position with Morgan White Group. This position provides system-level support of multi-user applications and software tools/utilities including the installation, configuration, maintenance and support of these system. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems.
  • Windows development skills using Microsoft Visual Studio, MicrosoftTeam Foundation, Windows Forms, business objects technologies and C# are required.
  • Develop support workflows and processes as necessitated by the team.
  • Database development skills using Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SQL Management Studio are required.
  • Use of systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications.
  • Design, develop, document, analyze, create, test and/or modify computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based an`d related to user or system design specifications.
  • Effective written and verbal communication with supervisors, content providers, IT personnel, and team developers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems required. Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Team Foundation, and Microsoft SQL Server. Ability to analyze business logic changes and coordinate appropriate software solutions.

  • Experience in server-side application development (C#, MVC, LINQ & Entity Framework)
